Web Accessibility

From the lesson web accessibility, I learned about what is accessibility, importance of web accessibility and how to implement it properly for digital contents. I identified that accessibility is very useful for all users not only for people with disabilities. Accessibility makes websites easier to use for all visitors. Some of the key features are text alternatives, screen readers, captions in videos, keyboard navigation, Zooming text, contrast colors and well-defined links. In addition to those, accessible headings, clear structure and simple language also help all users to find information easily.

An example for web Accessibility

GOV.UK is a good example of an accessible website that I found. It has strong accessibility specifications. It is designed to be used easily for everyone.

Above picture indicates how this website used accessible headings, structuring the text, color contrast as well as simple language. Users can find information smoothly because of clear navigation.

People with disabilities also can benefit from its keyboard navigation and screen reader support. Above screenshot is a good example for it.

Additionally, I recognized it includes links which navigate several sections are well-defined as everyone can follow it easily.

This screenshot indicates some links of this website which are clearly guided. Every page includes these kinds of links for better navigation. It is very useful for all users as it can be followed easily without any confusion.

According to these studies, I prepared an accessible document which is given below link
