Collaborating Tools

In this lesson, I learned about the various types of communication tools, their basic benefits and how to implement them in different projects. Ability to work with team members in different locations by sharing, editing, and storing information is one of the basic benefits of these tools. Out of the tools mentioned in the lesson, Jamboard and Airtable were the most interested to me and I choose to study further about them.

Jamboard

This is a digital whiteboard tool, that promotes online collaboration and idea sharing. It is mostly use for tasks such as brainstorming, mind mapping and drawing diagrams. It offers sketching, dropping images and adding notes on the whiteboard making it easier to figure out the concepts. Team members are able to access and modify the things on the board.

Airtable

This is a cloud-based collaboration tool that combine a database and spreadsheet. It can be used for project planning, tasks planning and organizing data in team works. It allows to visualize specific tasks in different formats, create and edit databases and ready-made templates for relevant tasks. It supports to organize team works by offering customizable views like grid and calendar. If needed, team members can add, edit or exchange events.
